AbstractIn 1988-1992, Serotyping of Salmonella serovar in exported frozen chicken were laboratory confirmed by Gard technique. The samples were received from government and private laboratories. There were about 4,542 strains identified as Salmonella. The number of strains of Salmonella were 921,864,1003,815 and 939 in 1988,1989,1990,1991 and 1992, respectively. It was shown that the numbers of positive serovars of Salmonella increased about 41,44,49,58 and58 serovars in 1988,1989,1990,1991 and 1992, respectively, Serovars which commonly found during 5 years were 12.3% of S.blockley (558 strains), 10.1% of S.paratyphi B.biovar Java (457 strains), 8% of S.virchow (363 strains), 7.5% of S.hadar (339 strains)6.8% of S.anatum (307 strains)and 5.3% of S.typhimurium (240 strains).
